Hal Newhouser - Class of 1992

Hal Newhouser won back-to-back MVP awards (1944-1945), and with his blazing fastball, he became a strikeout king. Over 17 campaigns, 15 with Detroit, he won 207 games. From 1944 to 1946, he recorded 29, 25 and 26 wins with annual ERAs of 2.22, 1.81 and 1.94.
