Why your Donations are Important

The AAGPBL statue was funded through a generous donation from Don and Chris Sanders (second and third from left).

Preserving history. Honoring excellence. Connecting generations.

This simple mission guides us every day. As a not-for-profit educational institution, independent of Major League Baseball, we strive to deepen everyone's understanding of Baseball and its significant role in American culture. A greater understanding leads to a greater love and appreciation. And with a greater love comes a greater chance that Baseball — tied so closely to our history and our roots — will not only endure, but flourish.

In order to fulfill this mission, we:

  • Collect artifacts, works of art, music, literature, and photographs significant to the history of The Game
  • Preserve, document, and catalog our valuable collections.
  • Educate through curatorially sound and attractive exhibits
  • Instruct school children through innovative programs in math, science, communications, history, and economics
  • Honor those who have made the most exceptional contributions to The Game
